Our international network keeps growing. We are happy to announce Media Matters as our partners in the Netherlands, which means great news for startups from both acceleration programs, who will have valuable opportunities to scale and expand their connections.🚀
Our partnership includes the exchange of mentors networks and recommendation of startups, as well as the promotion and support for each other’s’ events — which is already happening.
In October, startups from our current and previous batches attended MediaMatching Days in Amsterdam. And teams from the Dutch program are invited to take part of next editions of nma Media Match in Hamburg, where they can get to meet and connect with media representatives and investors in Germany.
“I had many talks with broadcasters and digital publishers. The Dutch organizations usually operate cross-media and are very open to experimenting. This resulted in ongoing conversations with two media outlets for Simply Aloud.” Davide Lovato, co-founder Simply Aloud (Batch 5).
“This cooperation is part of our broader goal to build up an extensive international network with strategic partners from the media vertical, including incubators and innovation programs. With this partnership we provide startups with more opportunities to present themselves internationally during and after the acceleration.” Meinolf Ellers, Managing Partner at NMA.
“NMA and MediaMatters operate in the same arena, but are really complementary. NMA wants to accelerate early stage media-related startups, Media Matters focusses more on the more mature startups and scale-ups. By working together on events and sharing knowledge and networks, both organizations can really make a difference.” Bert Kok, Business Manager at Media Matters.
“MediaMatters links the business challenges of media companies with the innovative solutions of later stage startups and scale-ups. It offers media companies a unique platform to connect with these international startups and scale-ups. The startups are looking for partners to grow, media companies are searching for ideas and technologies to help their business. MediaMatters brings the two together to work on new products and services or to improve existing processes.” Bert Kok, Business Manager
Next Media Accelerator was initiated by the German Press Agency (dpa) and founded in 2015 in Hamburg by several leading investors from the publishing and advertising industry in order to offer media related startups a place to succeed. The program is looking for scalable companies that bring innovation to the media industry and look for international markets.
